Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of this website. They are not the terms on which we provide protective services. Those are set out in a signed engagement agreement, and nothing here replaces or summarises them.

1. Who we are

This site is operated by Seraph Security Agency (Pvt) Ltd, registration number PV 00338336, a company incorporated in Sri Lanka with its registered office at 96/5 Rosemead Place, Colombo 07, Sri Lanka.

2. This site is information, not an offer

The content here describes our disciplines in general terms. It is not an offer to provide services, not a quotation, and not a representation that any particular capability is available in any particular place or at any particular time. Nothing on this site creates a contract between us.

3. It is not security advice

Nothing on this website constitutes security, risk, legal or travel advice, and it must not be relied on as such. Protective measures are specific to a person, a place and a threat picture; they cannot responsibly be inferred from a public web page. If you have a concern about your safety, speak to us or to another qualified adviser directly.

4. Engagement is by written agreement only

We are engaged only when a written agreement is signed by both parties. Correspondence through this site, including any enquiry you send, does not commit either of us to anything. We may decline any enquiry without giving reasons.

5. Enquiries and confidentiality

We treat enquiries as confidential and handle them in line with our Privacy & Data Protection Notice. Please bear in mind that ordinary email is not a secure channel; do not send detailed itineraries, security arrangements or other sensitive material in a first approach. Tell us you have something sensitive to discuss and we will arrange an appropriate channel.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use this site for any unlawful purpose, or to plan or facilitate harm;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting, or any connected system;
• scrape, harvest or systematically extract content, or use it to train an automated model, without our written permission;
• impersonate Seraph, our personnel or our clients, or misrepresent an association with us;
• introduce malicious code or otherwise interfere with the site’s operation.

7. Intellectual property

The Seraph name, the wings mark, the artwork, the interface and the text of this site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may view and print pages for your own reference. Any other use, including reproduction, redistribution, adaptation or commercial use, requires our written permission.

8. Personnel and imagery

Named individuals appear on this site with their consent, in a leadership capacity only. Operational personnel are not identified, and their images do not appear. Do not reproduce any personnel image from this site for any purpose.

9. Links to other sites

Where we link to a third party, for instance our profiles on professional or social platforms, we do not control that destination and are not responsible for its content or its handling of your data.

10. Availability

We make no guarantee that this site will be available uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.

11. Limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, whether express or implied, in relation to it. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, business, goodwill or data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. This clause concerns the website; liability arising from services we actually perform is dealt with in the engagement agreement.

12. Scope of what we do

We provide protective services subject to the laws and regulatory requirements of each jurisdiction in which we operate. We do not perform, and do not hold ourselves out as performing, any function reserved by law to a police or state security service, and we exercise no powers of arrest, detention or search beyond those available to any private person.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site. Where you deal with us in another jurisdiction, the engagement agreement for that work may specify a different governing law; that agreement prevails over this clause for the work it covers.

14. Changes

We may amend these terms. The version published here, bearing the effective date at the top, is the one that applies.
